This is hands-on production work: operating and maintaining the equipment that makes medicines and medical devices. It is distinct from CMC, which develops and characterises the process — these roles run it. Work happens in cleanrooms and controlled environments under documented procedures, with batch records, line clearance and deviation reporting as routine parts of the day. Device manufacturers add machining, moulding, assembly and inspection. Shift work is common, and many of these positions are genuine entry points into the industry without a science degree.
Roles in this area are also listed as pharmaceutical manufacturing jobs, medical device assembly jobs, cleanroom technician jobs and production operator jobs biotech.
