Role summary
Lead Scientist position within Cytiva's Chemistry and Raw Materials team, responsible for developing analytical methods, characterizing raw materials used in cell culture media, and mentoring scientists. The role supports cross-functional teams across quality, R&D, and product engineering.
What they're looking for
- PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field; or MS with 2+ years industry experience; or BS with 4+ years industry experience
- Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation: HPLC, UHPLC, LC-MS, ICP-MS, QToF, or equivalent
- Fluent English and German communication, both oral and written
- Strong scientific problem-solving and investigation capabilities
- Data analysis and interpretation skills for raw material characterization studies
What you'll be doing
- Develop and execute analytical test methods for raw material quality attributes
- Conduct investigations to resolve raw material technical questions and manufacturing issues
- Provide technical support to quality, R&D, product engineering, and sourcing teams
- Train and mentor other scientists on the team
- Prepare and deliver oral and written technical presentations internally and externally
Compensation€70,000 gross per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
