Role summary
Gilead Sciences seeks an oncology biomarker research intern to design and maintain a companion diagnostic database, extract regulatory information from FDA sources, and develop automated data workflows. This 10-12 week summer position offers exposure to drug development strategy and cross-functional collaboration in Foster City, California.

- Willing to work on-site in Foster City; relocation may be required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail
What you'll be doing
- Identify and organize companion diagnostic regulatory, technical, and clinical information from FDA-approved resources
- Design and implement a structured, queryable database to capture key CDx data
- Develop automated data extraction workflows from FDA databases and regulatory documents including PDFs
- Evaluate methods for extracting and validating information from unstructured regulatory documents
- Present final project findings in PowerPoint presentation at internship conclusion
Compensation$20.00 - $55.00 hourly
