Role summary
Gilead's AI Research Center seeks a software engineering intern to develop production-grade backend services and data-processing solutions supporting clinical research. What you'll be doing
- Design and build backend services and data-processing components using maintainable, strongly typed code
- Develop deterministic logic to identify, classify, and prioritize meaningful data changes from external sources
- Implement LLM-powered summarization capabilities with structured outputs and operational guardrails
- Build automated unit, integration, and regression tests to ensure software quality and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and deliver technical solutions
