Role summary

Field-based engineer providing on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of DNA sequencing instruments at customer locations across the Pacific Northwest. Role requires independent troubleshooting, customer training, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver service excellence.

Valid driver's license with good driving record and ability to travel extensively
Excellent analytical troubleshooting and verbal/written communication skills
Current authorization to work in the United States

What you'll be doing

Install, maintain, upgrade, and repair PacBio sequencing equipment at multiple customer sites
Train operators on instrument use and document all service activities with accurate record-keeping
Mentor less experienced engineers and develop improved operating procedures
Provide feedback and analysis of field issues to product and service management teams
Write and edit service documentation for alignment, replacement, and upgrade procedures
