Role summary
Illumina is seeking a senior software engineer for its R&D operations in Singapore. The role focuses on software development supporting the company's genomic sequencing and analysis platforms. This position is based in the Woodlands area of Singapore.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related computing/engineering field
- At least 5 years of software development experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings
- Proficiency with Java or .NET programming languages
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Familiarity with SECS/GEM, OPC, TCP/IP, and Modbus TCP protocols
- Experience with Software Life Cycle Management
- Camstar MES system experience preferred; SCRUM and FDA cGMP/ISO knowledge advantageous
What you'll be doing
- Gather requirements from manufacturing teams and design automation solutions mapping existing processes
- Integrate automation solutions with MES to enforce manufacturing workflow and data integrity
- Develop and maintain operational reports providing insights for process and product improvement
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to sustain and enhance applications for existing and new products
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and investigate solutions to meet quality standards
