Azenta Life Sciences seeks an experienced Senior Facilities Manager to lead strategic oversight and day-to-day operations for life sciences facilities in South Plainfield, NJ. The role encompasses building management, regulatory compliance, vendor oversight, capital projects, budget planning, and team leadership across lab and office environments.

What they're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, or related technical field
10-12+ years progressive facilities management experience in regulated or life sciences environments
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, building infrastructure, and preventive maintenance programs
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, building codes, and life safety requirements
5-7+ years experience managing corporate property, vendor contracts, and construction projects
GMP/GLP environment experience strongly preferred
OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification, CFM, or PMP certification preferred

What you'll be doing

Lead facilities strategy and daily operations for assigned site(s) including lab, office, and building infrastructure
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, OSHA, and regulatory requirements with proper documentation and corrective actions
Oversee hard and soft services including security, maintenance, waste disposal, and emergency response coordination
Manage facility infrastructure lifecycle planning for electrical, fire prevention, HVAC, utilities, and critical building systems
Develop and manage facilities budgets, capital planning, and vendor costs while identifying cost control and operational improvements
