Role summary
Medtronic seeks a Principal Process Development Engineer to lead the innovation and optimization of manufacturing processes for medical device components and assemblies. - Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
- Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred
What you'll be doing
- Lead innovation and optimization of manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment systems
- Define robust process flows for new products and coordinate with process owners and product teams
- Own process characterization, validation, and yield monitoring activities through manufacturing release
- Perform risk assessments, lead burn-down activities, and coordinate experiments using data-driven methods
- Generate documentation and ensure compliance with quality system regulations and safety standards
