Role summary
Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Legal Counsel to provide commercial and legal support to business operations in Taiwan. The role focuses on contract management, regulatory compliance, and advisory services across multiple functions, reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel.
What they're looking for
- Advanced degree with 3+ years legal experience, or bachelor's degree with 5+ years legal experience
- Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
- Corporate or in-house legal experience in multinational or regulated environments
- Admission to practice law in Taiwan preferred
- Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese
- Knowledge of government contracts, competition law, anti-corruption, data privacy or product liability
What you'll be doing
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements including sales, purchase, service and distribution contracts
- Provide day-to-day legal advisory to business leaders and cross-functional teams on commercial and compliance matters
- Support government and public-sector contracting including tenders, bids and procurement arrangements
- Assist with corporate governance, entity management and general corporate matters including reorganizations
- Develop and maintain contract templates and guidelines to ensure consistency across the organization
