Role summary
Johnson & Johnson seeks an Equipment Engineer for a lentiviral vector production facility in the Netherlands. The role involves managing upstream processing and general equipment systems, ensuring operational reliability, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting continuous process improvement in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, biomedicine, or process technology
- 3-4 years manufacturing experience in biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of fridges, freezers, cell culturing, incubators, and single-use bioreactor control
- Experience working in cGMP environment and EHSS standards
- Annex 1 guidelines experience preferred
- Availability for 24/7 troubleshooting on rotating schedule (every 4 weeks)
- Proactive, decisive, and organized with strong problem-solving ability
What you'll be doing
- Analyze equipment performance and propose improvement initiatives addressing safety, quality, and efficiency
- Lead system changes and process robustness initiatives with 0-3 month timeframes
- Serve as system owner for acute troubleshooting and operational support of GMP batches
- Maintain validated state of production equipment, documentation, and capacity planning
- Generate equipment performance reports and KPIs including uptime, downtime, and lifecycle data
