Role summary
Johnson & Johnson seeks a Director to lead global legal template transformation within its Global Simplification and Innovation in Contracting program. The role owns strategy and execution for simplifying and implementing contract templates, clauses, and playbooks while preserving legal protections and enabling AI-ready processes across the enterprise.
What they're looking for
- Juris Doctor, LL.B., or equivalent law degree
- Minimum 10 years legal or contracting experience with leadership of complex commercial contracts
- Demonstrated success leading global transformation initiatives at scale
- Strong legal judgment balancing risk, compliance, business value, and user experience
- Experience with legal operations, contracting, process improvement, or change management
- Life sciences experience strongly preferred
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and influence senior leaders without formal authority
What you'll be doing
- Own global legal template transformation roadmap, priorities, and measurable outcomes
- Lead assessment, consolidation, drafting, validation, and approval of templates and contract clauses
- Establish plain-language content standards maintaining legal protections while reducing complexity
- Build end-to-end operating model including intake, taxonomy, governance, and maintenance processes
- Lead cross-functional delivery of implementation, localization, deployment, and continuous improvement
