Role summary
Bristol Myers Squibb seeks an experienced counsel to provide strategic, regulatory, and transactional legal support for global pharmaceutical and biologics product development. The role advises senior executives on complex transactions, manufacturing agreements, and business development opportunities within the Product Development & Supply Law team.
What they're looking for
- JD or equivalent and admission to at least one U.S. state bar in good standing
- 6+ years legal experience in law firm, in-house, and/or government roles in pharmaceutical or life sciences
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex product development and commercial agreements
- Demonstrated ability to advise and influence senior executives on high-impact legal matters
- Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and ability to navigate complex legal issues
- Strong verbal and written communication with collaborative and proactive approach
- Intellectual property law familiarity and experience preferred
What you'll be doing
- Serve as lead legal advisor to Global Product Development on business strategies and high-value transactions
- Negotiate, structure, and draft material development and supply transactions including contract manufacturing agreements
- Support legal due diligence on business development opportunities and M&A deal manufacturing aspects
- Draft and negotiate secondary agreements from business development deals such as assignments and manufacturing contracts
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify risks, establish mitigation strategies, and optimize transactional processes
