Role summary
This role combines materials engineering with regulatory compliance responsibilities within global operations. The engineer will manage supplier relationships, drive cost reduction initiatives, support new product introductions, and ensure materials meet evolving compliance standards across the organization's product portfolio.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- 8 years experience in mechanical/electro-mechanical parts procurement, supplier quality, or product engineering
- Hands-on sourcing, procurement, or supplier quality management in multinational manufacturing
- Proficiency in technical drawing interpretation, BOMs, and mechanical design specification
- Knowledge of REACH, RoHS, PFAS, and TSCA 6 regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills
- SAP EHSM experience preferred
What you'll be doing
- Manage commodity suppliers and performance metrics for quality, cost, delivery, and schedule
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through supplier collaboration and value engineering
- Support new product introduction by sourcing suppliers and conducting RFQ analysis
- Ensure materials of concern compliance data is current across all material part numbers
- Communicate regulatory risks and compliance requirements to site and global leadership
