Role summary
This role leads enterprise data governance, FAIR data practices, and data product strategy at a biotech company. The Associate Director will establish governance frameworks, evolve federated operating models, and advance metadata and semantic capabilities to enable responsible AI and analytics innovation. Success requires cross-functional leadership across data domains, architecture, security, and business functions.

- Doctorate degree with 2+ years data management experience, or Master's with 6+ years, or Bachelor's with 8+ years, or Associate degree with 10+ years
- Biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry background with regulated data and compliance knowledge
- Enterprise data governance and data management leadership across business and technology teams
- Hands-on understanding of FAIR data principles and practical application through metadata and standards
- Data governance operating model experience including ownership, stewardship, policy, and controls
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate complex data concepts into business value
What you'll be doing
- Lead enterprise data governance, FAIR, and data product strategy aligned with scientific and business priorities
- Establish value-realization framework to measure business outcomes and return on investment from data initiatives
- Execute enterprise data strategy including ownership, reusable products, lifecycle management, and adoption measures
- Evolve federated governance operating model with clear decision rights, data councils, and standards
- Partner with architecture, engineering, security, and business teams to operationalize governed data products across domains
