Role summary
A 10-12 week summer internship within the Research & Development division focused on cellular pharmacology and lead discovery. Interns will execute cellular assays to support preclinical drug development for cancer and cardiometabolic disorders, working alongside experienced pharmaceutical scientists on assay optimization and data analysis.

- Currently enrolled full-time in biology, biochemistry, or related discipline
- Completed at least 2 years toward BS/BA or 1 year toward master's/PhD by May 2027
- Available full-time for 10-12 weeks beginning May or June 2027
- Superior verbal and written communication skills with strong academic record
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multifunctional team environment
- Previous laboratory experience with cell biology techniques (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with aseptic technique and cell culture best practices (preferred)
What you'll be doing
- Execute cellular assays to support compound screening and mechanism of action studies
- Evaluate and optimize new assay technologies and methods for robustness and throughput
- Use laboratory automation and industry-standard data analysis tools and electronic lab notebooks
- Communicate progress in internal meetings and deliver final presentation summarizing findings
