Role summary
A 10-12 week internship within the Quantitative Biosciences Cellular Pharmacology & Lead Discovery team at a major pharmaceutical company. The intern will execute cellular assays to support compound screening and mechanism of action studies for cancer and cardiometabolic disease programs.
What they're looking for
- Currently enrolled full-time in biology, biochemistry, or related scientific discipline
- Completed at least 2 years toward BS/BA or 1 year toward master's/PhD by June 2024
- Hands-on experience with aseptic technique and good cell culture practice
- Prior laboratory experience with cell biology techniques
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team-oriented environment
What you'll be doing
- Execute cellular assays to screen compounds and determine mechanism of action
- Learn laboratory automation techniques and their application to assay robustness and throughput
- Use industry-standard data analysis tools, electronic lab notebooks, and analysis software
- Communicate data progress in internal meetings and deliver final presentation
