Role summary
Six-month cooperative education position within the Global Quality Large Molecule Analytical Sciences team supporting method development, validation, and troubleshooting for commercial biopharmaceutical analytics. Hands-on laboratory experience in a GMP environment with exposure to instrument qualification and reagent management.
What they're looking for
- Currently pursuing B.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field with minimum three years completed
- Hands-on experience with standard laboratory equipment: pipettes, balances, pH meters, biosafety cabinets, fume hoods
- Experience documenting experimental work including objectives, procedures, results, and conclusions
- Proficiency in one or more analytical techniques: cell culture, ELISA, qPCR, HPLC, mass spectrometry, capillary electrophoresis, or microbial testing
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Strong technical and written communication skills with attention to detail
What you'll be doing
- Develop, troubleshoot, and validate analytical methods for large molecule therapeutics
- Execute sample testing supporting process development and product changes
- Perform instrument qualifications and complete software validations in GMP setting
- Support laboratory start-up activities including inventory management and reagent supply
- Document experimental work and collaborate with internal teams and outsourced partners
