Role summary
Supervisor overseeing site services and Advanced Laboratory Services operations at an Avantor facility in Rensselaer, NY. - Four or more years site services, lab support, supply chain, or manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated experience directly supervising, coaching, and developing employees
- Experience in regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or GxP manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Strong inventory management and operational data analysis skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and ERP or inventory management systems
What you'll be doing
- Lead and direct daily activities of coordinators and technicians, ensuring safe and accurate completion of work
- Establish priorities, assign work, manage staffing coverage, and track resolution of unresolved issues
- Monitor workflow, workload, and service levels across assigned areas; adjust resources based on operational changes
- Provide hands-on support during staffing gaps, urgent requests, high-volume periods, and audits
- Maintain strong presence in assigned buildings, stockrooms, warehouses, and supported laboratory areas
