Role summary
Danaher seeks a Staff NPI Manufacturing Engineer to lead design transfer and manufacturing scale-up for flow instruments and related products from feasibility through production release in Suzhou. What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, biomedical, or manufacturing engineering with 9+ years experience
- Deep expertise in design control, quality systems, and design transfer for life-science or medical-device products
- Hands-on experience with system testing, calibration, test-method validation, and manufacturing process validation
- Proficiency in DFx, pFMEA, root-cause analysis, statistical methods, and Lean/Six Sigma practices
- Knowledge of flow cytometry applications, reagent handling, and software-enabled manufacturing workflows preferred
- Fluency in English and Chinese for cross-regional stakeholder communication
- Experience leading NPI design transfer initiatives and complex cross-functional projects
What you'll be doing
- Lead manufacturing and supply chain design transfer from feasibility through production release for instruments and consumables
- Own NPI deliverables including supply chain feasibility, manufacturing readiness reviews, and design transfer reviews
- Develop and release manufacturing processes, work instructions, standard work, and regulatory documentation per specifications
- Lead process risk assessment, validation activities, and prototype build support with R&D and Quality partners
- Drive Design for Manufacturing reviews, cost modeling, and identify mitigation plans for quality, delivery, and capacity risks
