AstraZeneca seeks an experienced Translational Data Scientist to advance immunology research through single-cell and spatial omics analysis combined with AI-driven approaches. Strong experience with spatial omics, spatial transcriptomics, or spatial proteomics
Proficiency in BCR/TCR repertoire analysis or high-dimensional cytometry (CyTOF) data analysis
Proven multimodal data integration across transcriptomics, spatial omics, immune repertoire, and clinical datasets
Advanced coding skills in Python, R, or equivalent; experience with Git, Linux, and AI-assisted coding tools
Hands-on experience applying machine learning or AI to biological data; familiarity with foundation models, deep learning frameworks, or LLMs

What you'll be doing

Analyze and interpret large-scale single-cell, spatial, and immune profiling datasets to identify disease mechanisms and therapeutic hypotheses
Develop and apply innovative computational and AI-driven analytical approaches to support precision medicine and biomarker discovery
Plan and communicate complex analyses that generate actionable biological insights for cross-functional decision-making
Evaluate, adopt, and apply AI methodologies including large language models and biological foundation models to multimodal data
Serve as scientific arbiter for AI outputs, ensuring biological validity and translational relevance across immunology programs
