Role summary
Amgen seeks a Senior Scientist to develop and validate stem cell-derived tissue models for disease research. The role involves creating complex multicellular systems, optimizing culture conditions, and validating model fidelity for translational applications within the Predictive Biology team.

- Demonstrated ability optimizing media, growth factors, extracellular matrix, and co-culture conditions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary team environments
- Postdoctoral or industry experience in stem cell biology, developmental biology, or tissue engineering preferred
What you'll be doing
- Develop iPSC and primary tissue-derived models representing human tissue biology
- Differentiate stem cells into diverse tissue-relevant cell types and build complex multicellular systems
- Optimize culture conditions, media composition, and differentiation timing for model development
- Validate model fidelity through cell identity, tissue architecture, and functional readouts
- Document protocols and communicate findings to cross-functional teams via reports and presentations
