Role summary
Amgen seeks a Senior Maintenance Technician for its Rhode Island manufacturing site to perform advanced maintenance and repairs on equipment across manufacturing and laboratory operations. The role operates on a rotating 12-hour night shift (7PM-7AM) with a 15% shift differential.
What they're looking for
- High school diploma or GED plus 2 years utilities/maintenance work or military experience
- OR Associate degree plus 6 months utilities/maintenance work or military experience
- 5+ years mechanical maintenance experience, preferably with sanitary processing equipment
- 3+ years working with pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
- Experience in regulated environments (cGMP) and Maximo CMMS documentation
- Ability to read P&IDs and technical documentation independently
What you'll be doing
- Perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing and laboratory equipment systems
- Execute maintenance activities safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements and site procedures
- Document maintenance activities and work orders accurately in the Maximo CMMS system
- Communicate maintenance status, issues, and updates to operators and stakeholders
- Identify operational inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives
