Role summary
Natera seeks a Senior Director to oversee all laboratory operations, ensuring quality service and regulatory compliance across clinical and technical functions. The role manages personnel, infrastructure, and processes while driving operational improvements and new product implementations.
What they're looking for
- BS/BA in biological science or equivalent; MS preferred
- California licensed Clinical Lab Scientist or CGMBS preferred
- 10+ years laboratory administration or related field experience
- 5+ years management and leadership experience
- 5+ years high-complexity, high-volume lab operations experience
- Knowledge of CAP, CLIA, California, and New York state regulations
- Lean Six Sigma experience; GLP, GMP, or FDA experience strongly preferred
What you'll be doing
- Develop policies, procedures, and performance standards for laboratory efficiency and quality
- Oversee clinical and technical laboratory functions including production, equipment qualification, and staff training
- Lead troubleshooting teams and drive process improvements throughout operations
- Recruit, retain, and develop laboratory staff; manage performance and build team culture
- Operationalize new product launches and maintain infrastructure to meet testing demand
