Role summary
SCIEX seeks a Senior Application Support Specialist to deliver technical support for mass spectrometry instruments across pharmaceutical and clinical/forensic markets in Central Europe. The role combines pre- and post-sales customer support, field-based troubleshooting, and market intelligence gathering across the EMEA region.
What they're looking for
- Degree or PhD in chemistry, life sciences, or equivalent professional experience
- Proven expertise in analytical chemistry, chromatography, and mass spectrometry method development
- Experience with HPLC-MS technologies and pharma/clinical/forensic workflows; SCIEX instrument knowledge preferred
- Fluent German and English; French language skills advantageous
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel extensively across EMEA region
What you'll be doing
- Deliver pre-sales technical support through customer visits, product demonstrations, seminars, and sample analysis
- Provide post-sales support including on-site and in-house training, troubleshooting, and telephone assistance
- Gather and communicate field intelligence on competitive activities, market conditions, and product opportunities
- Collaborate across local, European, and global networks to resolve customer technical issues efficiently
- Travel throughout EMEA to conduct customer engagement, onsite support, training, and technical expertise delivery
