Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Process Engineer II to support design, optimization, and lifecycle management of purified water systems, chemical formulation processes, and fluid-handling equipment in a cGMP, FDA-regulated clinical diagnostic reagent manufacturing environment.

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical, or Process Engineering or related discipline
2+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or technical environment
Ability to interpret, create, and review P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and technical specifications
Mechanical and/or process design aptitude with equipment lifecycle understanding
Knowledge of high-purity water systems, sanitary fluid handling, and chemical processes
Familiarity with cGMP, FDA regulations, and ISO 13485 requirements

What you'll be doing

Provide technical leadership for high-purity water systems including pretreatment, generation, storage, and distribution
Design and optimize sanitary fluid-handling systems including piping, pumps, valves, and instrumentation
Develop and revise P&IDs, process flow diagrams, specifications, and engineering documentation
Lead or support equipment specification, vendor selection, commissioning, and IQ/OQ/PQ qualification activities
Troubleshoot equipment and implement improvements to increase reliability, OEE, throughput, and reduce scrap
