Role summary
Merck's Research Laboratories seek a postdoctoral fellow to lead a mechanistic research project on viral neutralization assays across multiple platforms. The fellow will design, execute, and interpret experiments to understand factors driving differences in neutralization measurements, with results intended for publication and external presentation.

- PhD in virology, immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, or related biological discipline

What you'll be doing
- Develop and characterize matched dengue neutralization assays using live virus and surrogate platforms
- Apply Design of Experiments to evaluate critical assay parameters and performance impact
- Perform mechanistic studies to distinguish biological from analytical sources of platform variability
- Generate cross-platform datasets and apply statistical methods for concordance analysis and interpretation
- Communicate findings through manuscripts, abstracts, presentations, and internal scientific forums
