Role summary
This role performs incoming quality inspections and coordinates nonconforming material through the Material Review Board process at a medical device manufacturer. The position ensures incoming materials meet quality standards, maintains quarantined inventory records, and supports material disposition and MRB cycle time reduction across cross-functional teams.
What they're looking for
- 2+ years quality inspection, manufacturing quality, or incoming inspection experience
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and quality procedures
- Proficiency with measurement equipment: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators
- Experience with ERP and quality systems such as SAP
- Knowledge of inspection techniques, sampling plans, and AQL methodologies
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
What you'll be doing
- Perform incoming inspections of components and materials per approved procedures and sampling plans
- Coordinate and track nonconforming material through segregation, identification, and MRB disposition
- Maintain accurate inventory records and location control of quarantined material within SAP
- Review quality documentation including Certificates of Conformance, certifications, and expiration dates
- Execute approved dispositions and support continuous improvement for MRB cycle time reduction
