Role summary
Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Manufacturing Process Manager to lead process development and optimization of active pharmaceutical ingredients at its Florence, South Carolina facility. - Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years process development, scale-up, and manufacturing experience with bachelor's degree, or 6+ years with advanced degree
- Deep technical expertise in GMP manufacturing, process development, and regulatory compliance (FDA, EMA, ISO)
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, design of experiments, and data analysis methodologies
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex technical projects
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills for SOPs, batch records, and validation protocols
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies preferred
What you'll be doing
- Lead complex manufacturing projects and provide technical expertise in process development and optimization of active pharmaceutical ingredients
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to develop, validate, and implement robust manufacturing processes
- Troubleshoot process issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards throughout manufacturing operations
- Support technology transfer initiatives and oversee material import and goods management at Florence facility
