Role summary
IQVIA seeks software engineer interns for its Product Engineering team to develop AI-powered enterprise applications. Interns will gain hands-on experience with Python, generative AI, test automation, cloud platforms, and microservices in an Agile environment, working alongside architects and engineers.
What they're looking for
- Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, AI, or Data Science
- Strong proficiency in Python and knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Algorithms
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or Snowflake
- Understanding of REST API development, testing, and integration concepts
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies including functional, API, and integration testing
- Familiarity with Generative AI concepts: LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, and Agentic AI
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure
What you'll be doing
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software components using Python and modern frameworks
- Build and validate REST APIs and integrations across enterprise applications
- Develop AI-powered solutions leveraging LLMs, Agentic AI, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation
- Design and implement automated test frameworks for functional, integration, API, and end-to-end testing
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Developers, and QA teams on code reviews and optimization
