Role summary
NuSil seeks an Industrial Security Director to lead security programs and oversee the security organization supporting high-performance silicones for Aerospace & Defense customers. Reports to executive leadership and based in Carpinteria, California.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Legal Studies, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity with 12 years industrial security experience; or graduate degree with 10 years relevant experience
- Working knowledge of NISPOM, 32 CFR Part 117, NIST SP 800-53/171, and DFARS
- Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance; U.S. citizen
- FSO, ISP, or CPP certification
- Demonstrated experience implementing security programs and processes
- Leadership or mentoring experience in team environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal skills
What you'll be doing
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines aligned with corporate and government requirements
- Establish information assurance and security programs protecting classified, proprietary, and sensitive information
- Advise executive leadership and functional partners on security matters, risk mitigation, and compliance requirements
- Manage incident response plans, technology control plans, and material handling plans
- Lead and mentor security team; oversee performance objectives, individual goals, and departmental KPIs
