What you'll be doing
- Lead system-level engineering activities for new and existing analytical instruments from prototype through pilot phases
- Develop system requirements, oversee hardware integration, and direct verification and validation testing
- Troubleshoot complex failures at system and component levels to identify root causes
- Automate and control hardware subsystems for prototype testing using scripting languages
- Mentor junior engineers on design methodology, development practices, and systems-level thinking
