Zifo seeks a Lab Computing Engineer to provide consulting, analytical, and technical laboratory services for a pharmaceutical client in Waltham, MA. The role involves multivendor instrument support, IT consulting, requirements management, validation/compliance activities, and onsite lab IT infrastructure support.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Biomedical, or Chemical discipline
5+ years technical experience with Windows technologies, networking, remote computing, and backup systems
3+ years software development and testing experience
2+ years business requirement analysis and gathering experience
Demonstrated domain knowledge in bio/pharma industry areas such as drug discovery, lab workflows, or sample management
Excellent customer service, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and GxP regulations (GLP, GMP, 21 CFR)

What you'll be doing

Perform requirements management, gap analysis, and validation/compliance support for lab systems
Provide IT consulting on process improvements, vendor evaluation, and industry best practices alignment
Serve as primary liaison between internal teams, clients, and external vendors for service coordination
Deliver onsite break/fix support, security policy implementation, and preventative maintenance for lab instrumentation
Create technical documentation, maintain equipment inventory, and provide subject matter expertise for system validation
