Role summary
Beckman Coulter Diagnostics seeks a Field Service Supervisor to lead a team of field engineers in Western Michigan, managing daily operations, staff development, and customer service for diagnostic laboratory instruments across the Great Lakes territory.
What they're looking for
- High school diploma with 8+ years relevant technical experience, or bachelor's degree with 5+ years, or master's degree with 3+ years
- Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, or electronic equipment
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing stairs, and reaching
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
- Medical laboratory instrument troubleshooting and repair experience preferred
What you'll be doing
- Lead and develop a team of Field Service Engineers; recruit, train, and establish performance goals
- Facilitate weekly team meetings to review customer issues, key performance indicators, and announcements
- Coordinate with the service team and coordination center to develop customer support strategies
- Ensure field service operations maintain accuracy in repairs, calibrations, qualifications, and shipping activities
- Drive continuous improvement using Danaher Business System principles and compliance initiatives
