Role summary

Medtronic seeks a Field Service Engineer to provide technical service and maintenance for Cardiac Ablation Solutions Affera™ systems and Surgical Robotics equipment across Western Australia and South Australia.   • Bachelor's in Engineering or Biomedical Engineering with 2+ years relevant experience, or Diploma with 4+ years
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic, electromechanical, or biomedical equipment
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel approximately 30% across assigned territory
  • Demonstrated ability to perform preventative maintenance, installations, and repairs in customer-facing settings
  • Capability to maintain accurate technical records and comply with regulatory requirements

What you'll be doing

  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and upgrades on cardiac ablation and surgical robotics systems
  • Install, commission, validate, and decommission medical equipment at customer hospital and clinical sites
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, software, and biomedical equipment issues to minimise downtime
  • Provide technical support to clinicians and hospital personnel on equipment operation and troubleshooting
  • Manage service documentation, inventory, tools, and coordinate with internal technical and quality teams
