Role summary
PCI Pharma Services seeks a Director of Security to develop and oversee security infrastructure and guard operations at its Rockford facility and support security at other sites. This role leads the design and implementation of access control, surveillance, emergency protocols, and compliance frameworks while managing both internal staff and external security contractors.

- Bachelor's degree in related field and/or 7-10 years security experience and training
- College-level mathematical skills and advanced computer proficiency
- Full professional fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with technical reasoning
- Ability to negotiate and coordinate with security equipment and service suppliers
- Law enforcement management experience (preferred)
- Experience designing, deploying and maintaining security systems for large facilities (preferred)
What you'll be doing
- Develop and implement forward-thinking security policies and procedures addressing evolving threats
- Oversee installation and maintenance of electronic security systems including access control, CCTV, and environmental systems
- Select, train, and manage internal security staff and external contract security services
- Serve as primary point of contact for DEA coordination and security audit responses
- Lead security investigations, conduct interviews, and administer background check procedures
