Role summary
Merck seeks a Director of Manufacturing Platforms to lead digital shop floor and manufacturing systems initiatives globally. This role oversees product roadmaps, deployment strategies, and team leadership across multiple sites while driving adoption of manufacturing IT solutions in a regulated biopharmaceutical environment.

- 5+ years implementing digital shop floor systems (DCS/SCADA/PLC, MES, LIMS, OSI PI) in biopharma
- 5+ years direct leadership experience managing technical professionals with mentorship skills
- Strong technical background in process control, computer networking, and manufacturing systems
- Deep knowledge of computerized system validation and SDLC in regulated environments
- Experience building technology roadmaps and deploying secure, scalable solutions
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate with diverse stakeholders

- Lead Digital Shop Floor product line and Manufacturing Systems Centers of Excellence delivery
- Own and refine product and technology roadmaps aligned with manufacturing digital strategies
- Direct global deployment and scale-up of Digital Shop Floor solutions with compliance focus
- Identify new use cases for existing technologies and lead pilots to validate emerging innovations
- Lead and mentor high-performing team of product owners, managers, and technical professionals
