Role summary
Director leading global commercial supply chain strategy and operations for Vertex's Type 1 Diabetes cell and gene therapy program. Responsible for capacity planning across CDMO networks, supply chain governance, process implementation, and cross-functional team leadership to support successful commercialization.

- Bachelor's degree in scientific or business discipline
- 10+ years supply chain experience or equivalent education and experience combination
- Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations (cGMP, GCP, GDP, import/export, Part 11)
- Expertise with ERP/MRP systems, particularly Oracle OPM
- Proven ability to build and manage high-performing teams
- Advanced analytical skills and complex problem-solving capabilities
- Strong business acumen and stakeholder management experience

- Implement global S&OP processes and recommend long-term CDMO capacity investments
- Map end-to-end supply chain processes, define governance, and deliver GxP compliance SOPs
- Manage large supply chain team and collaborate across clinical, logistics, and international functions
- Identify and implement new processes for cell and gene therapy program requirements
