Role summary

Amgen seeks a Digital Product Manager for its AI & Data Innovation Lab to evaluate and validate high-potential AI-driven business opportunities before major investment. This role combines business strategy, product innovation, and technical depth to guide AI initiatives across the organization and influence senior stakeholders on investment and scaling decisions.

What they're looking for

Master's degree with 2+ years in technology, product, digital, AI, or business transformation; or equivalent education and experience
4+ years of product management, product strategy, innovation, or digital transformation experience
2+ years working with AI, machine learning, data products, LLMs, or enterprise AI solutions
Working knowledge of AI product development including discovery, prototyping, deployment, and monitoring
Ability to evaluate AI opportunities across desirability, feasibility, viability, value, and scalability
Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Familiarity with generative AI, LLMs, NLP, predictive analytics, or intelligent automation

What you'll be doing

Design and execute rapid discovery sprints, prototypes, pilots, and user research to assess business opportunities
Identify and frame AI-enabled opportunities across Amgen, developing problem statements, hypotheses, and validation plans
Evaluate technical feasibility of AI solutions including data foundations, system integrations, and architecture requirements
Partner with engineering and data science teams to align on scope, tradeoffs, and execution approaches
Synthesize validation findings into product recommendations, business cases, and executive-ready recommendations for investment decisions
