Role summary
Entry-level controls and automation engineer role supporting the design, development, and maintenance of electrical and control systems in manufacturing environments. Reports to Global Sr Manager Controls and Automation at Cytiva's Advanced Engineering Team in Pensacola, Florida on-site.

- Bachelor's degree in electrical, controls, automation, or computer engineering
- Co-op or internship experience in electrical, controls, or automation engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in team environments and communicate clearly
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow technically
- Basic knowledge of electrical concepts, control systems, and automation safety standards
- Experience reading and developing electrical schematics (AutoCAD preferred)
What you'll be doing
- Analyze manufacturing processes and identify automation and efficiency improvement opportunities
- Document and modify electrical and control system schematics, narratives, and procedures
- Write, test, and debug PLC and HMI control logic
- Troubleshoot electrical, control, and process-related issues
- Support validation, installation, commissioning, and startup of automation projects
