Role summary
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for toxicology testing at its Research Triangle Park facility. The role involves performing technical procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality in a night-shift environment (Tuesday-Saturday, 10pm-6:30am).
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- One or more years of clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
What you'll be doing
- Assess specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following standard operating procedures
- Operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to maintain proper functionality
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents and quality control materials
- Document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
