Role summary

Amgen seeks a Cardiovascular Key Account Manager to drive portfolio performance and market access across assigned health system accounts in upstate New York. The role combines strategic account planning, clinical relationship building, and cross-functional coordination to support cardiovascular product utilization.

What they're looking for

Bachelor's degree plus 6 years sales/account management experience, or Master's degree plus 4 years, or Doctorate plus 2 years
3+ years account management and/or public payor experience strongly preferred
Cardiology expertise including dyslipidemia, heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes highly preferred
Knowledge of hospital committee structures, P&T processes, DRG, and reimbursement mechanics
Understanding of CMS policies, Medicare processes, and payor systems
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with clinical opinion leaders and C-suite decision-makers
Experience with healthcare access, implementation barriers, and institutional utilization strategies

What you'll be doing

Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned to cardiovascular business unit strategy and institutional needs
Lead relationships with cardiology, lipidology, pharmacy, and P&T committee stakeholders across assigned accounts
Coordinate pull-through initiatives and access strategies across field teams and home office functions
Monitor account performance, market dynamics, and competitive landscape; identify barriers to utilization
Present compliant MAC-approved clinical data and ensure sustainable institution/system product adoption
