Role summary
This role involves developing and applying liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry proteomics workflows to support early-stage drug discovery. The Associate Scientist will execute quantitative proteomic experiments, operate LC-MS instruments, analyze data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate high-quality results for target discovery and biomarker studies.
What they're looking for
- Master's degree, or Bachelor's with 2 years scientific experience
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or related discipline
- Hands-on experience with proteomic sample preparation
- Proficiency with Proteome Discoverer, Spectronaut, DIA-NN, or similar software
- Ability to troubleshoot LC-MS instrumentation and assess data quality
- Experience with automated sample-preparation platforms such as Tecan or Hamilton
What you'll be doing
- Execute and optimize quantitative proteomic workflows including sample preparation and mass spectrometry acquisition
- Prepare samples from cell lines using protein enrichment and proximity labeling methods
- Operate LC-MS systems, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot instrument issues
- Process proteomic data using analysis software and collaborate on interpretation
- Communicate experimental progress and results to cross-functional project teams
