Role summary
Associate Director of Medical Writing at IQVIA leads medical writing strategy for clinical development programs across therapeutic areas. This leadership role partners with senior clinical stakeholders to develop messaging strategies, oversee regulatory submission documents, and manage medical writing staff.

- Minimum 8 years medical writing experience in biopharmaceutical industry or CRO
- Minimum 3 years supervisory or management experience
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical development process and regulatory requirements
- Expert-level written and verbal communication skills with mastery of English
- Experience leading cross-functional, multicultural, and international clinical teams
- PhD or MD qualification preferred
- Deep knowledge of medical writing standards, processes, and best practices

- Lead medical writing strategy and contributions for assigned therapeutic areas
- Develop and drive messaging strategies across clinical programs and regulatory submissions
- Manage, coach, and mentor medical writing staff within assigned therapeutic area(s)
- Oversee preparation of high-quality medical writing deliverables on budget and timeline
- Partner strategically with clinical program directors and safety physicians on development strategy
