Role summary
Gilead seeks an Associate Director for SAP Product Lifecycle Management to serve as Product Owner for PLM capabilities across pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain. The role involves owning the PLM vision and roadmap, partnering with business stakeholders, and leading end-to-end delivery of digital product lifecycle solutions. Based in Foster City, CA on a hybrid schedule reporting to the Director of IT ERP PDM.

- Bachelor's in IT, Engineering, Business, Life Sciences, or Supply Chain with 10+ years SAP/ERP experience
- Master's degree in related field with 8+ years SAP/ERP experience
- Deep expertise in SAP PLM, SAP MDG, SAP S/4HANA, and product lifecycle management
- Experience with Specification Management, Recipe Development, BOM Management, Engineering Change Management
- Knowledge of GxP, cGMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, validation, and compliance requirements
- Proven leadership managing cross-functional teams and large-scale ERP implementations in regulated environments
- Strong product management, stakeholder engagement, and executive communication skills
What you'll be doing
- Develop and own product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle strategy for PLM capabilities
- Serve as primary IT partner for Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, and Supply Chain organizations
- Lead end-to-end delivery of PLM initiatives from demand intake through deployment and sustainment
- Govern enterprise standards and master data for product specifications, recipes, BOMs, engineering changes, and labeling
- Build and develop high-performing cross-functional teams including architects, developers, and system integrators
