Role summary
A multi-rotational co-op program in orthopedic device development at a global medical technology company. Students will support design, development, and processing of implants and instruments while gaining exposure to R&D operations in an FDA-regulated environment.
What they're looking for
- Actively enrolled in B.S./B.E. engineering program (Mechanical or Biomedical preferred)
- GPA 3.2 or higher preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD systems
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication abilities
- U.S. work authorization without employer sponsorship required
- Ability to work full-time and temporarily relocate for on-site assignments
What you'll be doing
- Generate design control documentation including risk analyses and design reviews
- Participate in cross-functional project teams on orthopedic device initiatives
- Investigate product complaints and prepare technical reports
- Support design, development, and processing of implants and instruments
- May participate in cadaveric studies as part of product validation
