Role summary
This is a 4-6 month cooperative education program in vaccine process research and development. The intern will conduct laboratory work on downstream bioprocessing, execute process development experiments, and support GMP manufacturing campaigns under mentor guidance.

- Enrolled in BS/BA in chemical engineering, bioengineering, biological sciences, biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology, microbiology, or related field
- Hands-on laboratory experience and proven ability to work in lab settings
- Independent and team-based work capability with self-motivation and adaptability
- Ability to learn new techniques, multitask, maintain accurate records, and follow instructions
- Strong organization, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Available full-time for 4-6 months between June-November or March-August 2027
- Preferred: understanding of downstream bioprocess purification and large molecule purification operations
What you'll be doing
- Execute, optimize, and troubleshoot downstream process unit operations and analytical techniques
- Design and conduct process development experiments to enhance purification bioprocess understanding
- Analyze experimental results and present findings in collaborative team settings
- Support pilot-scale GMP campaigns including preparation, execution, and documentation
- Maintain detailed laboratory notes and ensure compliance with safety protocols
