Role summary
Pacific Biosciences seeks a Senior Metrology Engineer to develop and sustain wafer metrology processes for sequencing consumables. The role involves hands-on technical support, statistical analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to improve yield and quality throughout the product lifecycle.

- Strong knowledge of NPI, CAPA, FMEA, Statistical Process Control, and lean manufacturing
- Ability to work in cleanroom environments and lift up to 40 lbs; valid US work authorization
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to thrive in dynamic settings
What you'll be doing
- Develop, improve, and sustain wafer metrology processes for R&D and high-volume manufacturing operations
- Provide hands-on technical and data support for metrology activities on production lines using in-house tools
- Design and execute statistical analyses including DOE, SPC, MSA, and GR&R studies to improve yield
- Collaborate with R&D, QA, manufacturing, and supply chain partners to meet production targets
- Generate technical documentation including protocols, work instructions, deviation reports, and ECOs
