Role summary
This 12-week summer internship with Merck's Pharmaceutical Sciences division focuses on oral formulation and drug delivery development. Interns will work on solid dosage product design, formulation science, and manufacturing processes in laboratory and pilot plant settings.

- Currently pursuing B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field
- Ability to learn and apply scientific principles to laboratory work
- Demonstrated capability in basic data analysis and collation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Prior laboratory experience preferred
- Experience with statistical software (JMP, Minitab) or numerical analysis software (Matlab) preferred
What you'll be doing
- Execute formulation and drug delivery experiments for oral solid dosage products under technical guidance
- Apply scientific principles in laboratory or pilot plant environments to advance drug product development
- Operate, troubleshoot, and support manufacturing equipment and processes
- Conduct routine experiments, interpret data, and document findings
- Collaborate effectively with team members on assigned projects
