Role summary

Merck is offering a 12-week internship in Global Project and Alliance Management within its Research & Development organization. Interns will support experienced project managers on real drug development and clinical strategy projects while developing foundational project management capabilities.

Effective interpersonal and teamworking skills with ability to build cross-functional collaboration
Strong written and verbal communication skills; proactive in raising issues and keeping stakeholders informed
Proficiency with Office 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with MS Project, Power BI, or AI tools preferred

What you'll be doing

Execute key deliverables and support project managers on real drug development and clinical strategy initiatives
Learn and apply project management tools, templates, and processes for planning, tracking, communication, and reporting
Facilitate team discussions, ask critical questions, and contribute inputs to support decision-making processes
Compile, organize, and analyze data to summarize project updates, findings, and risk assessments
Lead an assigned project from initiation through closeout and transition
