Role summary
A 10-12 week summer internship in the Quantitative Biosciences department focused on applying data science techniques to drug discovery and development. Interns will work on statistical analysis, machine learning models, and data pipeline engineering in support of pharmaceutical research.
What they're looking for
- Currently enrolled full-time in Data Science, Computer Science, or related Bioscience program with substantial computational coursework
- Completed at least 2 years toward BS/BA or 1 year toward master's/PhD by internship start
- Available for full-time work May or June 2027 for 10-12 weeks
- Superior verbal and written communication skills with strong academic record
- Experience with at least one coding language (Python, R, or MATLAB)
What you'll be doing
- Perform statistical analyses on pharmaceutical research data and foundational drug discovery datasets
- Develop and implement data pipelines to integrate and analyze diverse biological data sources
- Build and apply computational and machine learning methods to improve drug discovery processes
- Engineer automated data connectors between enterprise databases and reporting platforms
- Present findings and progress to internal scientists and deliver completion presentation
